Hi Saucettes,
This month feels somewhat monumental to me and people around. Big, big shifts. Tectonic plates seem to be moving. I rented out a storage unit, put all my belongings in there and left for an extended trip before I return and start over. It’s exciting but equally terrifying as well.
I’ve started watching Baby Reindeer last night because people wouldn’t shut up talking about it in two acting classes that I went to and it’s phenomenal. The miniseries are based on a one-man play created by Richard Gadd, which is his own true story. Playing himself in the show, it sees him dealing with a female stalker, which brings up a lot of deep buried trauma and issues. On the reading agenda I have a memoir Walk Through Walls by Marina Abramovic from my ‘add to cart’ selection and a book my friend and Sauce contributor Rachel Soo Thow recommends in her round-up of books about grief and loss, The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion.
Love,

If there’s one thing we all have in common at Sauce, it’d be trawling through the vast online-shopping universe and finding cool new things we didn’t know we actually needed. Our team of in-house Saucettes and contributors from around the globe have shared their ‘add to cart’ picks this month. Hope you find some inspiration for your next purchase.
The cold autumn winds have crept up unexpectedly. Our latest editorial is the perfect source of styling inspiration going into the cooler seasons. You will find some local labels layered with great vintage coats to create some risky as well as more palatable silhouettes.

These books encompass all facets of loss — from the heartbreak to the endless verification that everything was going to be okay, to the memories, all of these will be with you till the very end.

Along with the art, Aotearoa Art Fair also makes for great people-watching. If you’re feeling a little uninspired by your wardrobe, then the attendees at the Aotearoa Art Fair could inspire you out of your style rut.
We recently hosted our team and close friends to a pre-Aotearoa Art Fair lunch at Bivacco. We are incredibly lucky to have these wonderful creatives by our side.
A reminder, the real flex is a supportive community <3
