Hello Saucettes,
There’s a natural inclination, as the colder season approaches, to slow down and pay heed to the murmurings within ourselves. It’s almost as if we delve headfirst into hibernation as if it was court-ordered. I call this part of my week, Soul Sundays, a moment where as a busy working mother I need to refill my cup, trust my inner sanctum and reflect on what makes my mind happy. The mind can be a symbolic cavern that can inspire or manifest magical thinking. In a world where our thoughts are driven by continuous external action and the proliferation of social media, there is also a desire to unearth a little inspiration here and there. If that means you add a splash of whimsy or perhaps entertaining the esoteric as a way to fill your cup, then by all means let this be your signal to lean in.
As part of this new ongoing Saucy series, my Soul Sundays Scrolls aims to supplement the brain with a little candy sans the dreaded dopamine comedown.
